Speciality Coffee from Chiapas, Mexico
This coffee comes from the Siltepec region in Chiapas, close to the protected El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve — one of Mexico’s most important ecological regions and home to the rare Quetzal bird. The area’s cloud forest climate, rich soil, cool nights and natural shade provide ideal conditions for producing expressive speciality coffee.
Produced by the Pohlenz Family alongside smallholder farmers, the coffee is shade grown, carefully hand-harvested, washed and sun-dried to preserve sweetness, clarity and balance in the cup.
What Makes El Jaguar Special?
Mexico El Jaguar stands out for its balance of caramel sweetness, gentle spice and smooth chocolate character. Unlike many darker roasts that lean heavily towards smokiness, this coffee retains clarity and brightness, allowing its cinnamon, brown sugar and dark chocolate notes to remain clean and well defined.
The result is a smooth, approachable speciality coffee with medium body and lively character that works especially well as an everyday brew.
Who Will Enjoy Mexico El Jaguar?
This coffee is ideal for customers who enjoy smooth darker roasts with sweetness, medium body and soft spice notes rather than aggressive bitterness or heavy smokiness. Its balanced profile makes it especially suitable for filter coffee drinkers and anyone looking for an easy-drinking speciality coffee with character and depth.
