There's nothing better than seeing great coffee recognised by independent experts, so we're thrilled to share some exciting news...
Both coffees we entered into the Great Taste Awards 2026 have been awarded 2 Great Taste Stars.
We only submitted two coffees this year, and we're incredibly proud that both were recognised for their outstanding flavour.
Even better, Café Français has once again won a Great Taste Award, proving it's just as special today as when it first caught the judges' attention. Alongside it, Uganda Rwenzori made its Great Taste debut and also came away with 2 Stars.
For a small, independent coffee roaster like us, that's a result worth celebrating.
What Are the Great Taste Awards?
Run by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are among the most respected food and drink awards in the UK.
Every product is judged completely blind by panels of chefs, buyers, food writers and industry experts. The judges don't see the brand or the packaging—they simply taste what's in front of them.
⭐⭐ Café Français – An Award-Winning Favourite
If you've been shopping with us for a while, Café Français will probably need no introduction.
It's one of our best-loved coffees and a favourite for customers looking for a smooth, balanced cup that's easy to enjoy every day.
With notes of rich chocolate, gentle caramel sweetness and a clean finish, it's equally at home as an espresso, flat white or bean-to-cup coffee.
We're especially pleased that Café Français has earned 2 Great Taste Stars.
⭐⭐ Uganda Rwenzori – A Brilliant First Entry
This year we also entered Uganda Rwenzori for the very first time—and we're delighted that it was recognised with 2 Great Taste Stars.
Grown in the Rwenzori Mountains by more than 1,000 smallholder farmers, this naturally processed coffee is packed with juicy notes of plum and cherry, balanced by rich chocolate sweetness and a wonderfully syrupy body.
It's a coffee that's full of character and one we've been excited to share since it first arrived at the roastery. Seeing it recognised by the Great Taste judges makes it even more special.
Which One Will You Choose?
If you enjoy smooth, chocolatey coffees that are perfect for everyday drinking, Café Français is hard to beat.
If you're looking to explore something a little different, Uganda Rwenzori offers vibrant fruit, natural sweetness and a wonderfully complex cup that showcases just how exciting speciality coffee from Uganda can be.
Thank you for being part of our journey—and here's to many more great cups of coffee!
