What Makes Uganda Rwenzori Special?
This coffee comes from the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda, where more than 1,000 smallholder farmers grow coffee at elevations of 1,500 to 1,900 metres above sea level. Rich volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures and slow cherry development help produce coffees with exceptional sweetness and complexity.
Processed using the natural method, the coffee cherries are dried with the fruit still intact before the beans are removed. This allows the coffee to develop juicy fruit flavours, a syrupy body and natural sweetness, creating a lively cup with notes of plum, cherry and chocolate.
Carefully selected and graded at Kisinga Coffee Station, this coffee showcases the growing reputation of Ugandan speciality coffee.
Who Will Enjoy Uganda Rwenzori?
This coffee is ideal for customers who enjoy naturally processed coffees with vibrant fruit flavours and lively acidity. Its juicy sweetness and smooth body make it particularly appealing to filter coffee enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore something a little different from classic chocolate-led coffees.
