What Makes Guatemala El Durazno Special?
Guatemala El Durazno is grown by the Ventura family at Finca El Durazno in the highlands of San Pedro Pinula, Jalapa. Coffee has been part of the family's history for more than five generations, with a continued focus on quality, sustainability and careful cultivation.
One of the coffee's defining features is its White Honey processing. During processing, most of the fruit is removed before drying, while a small amount of the natural fruit sugars remains on the bean. This rare method enhances sweetness, body and clarity, producing a coffee with crisp fruit notes, creamy texture and exceptional balance.
We source this coffee through Coffee Bird, a family-owned importer that works directly with Guatemalan producers and pays farmers significantly above the national average, helping support long-term quality and sustainable farming.
Who Will Enjoy Guatemala El Durazno?
This coffee is ideal for customers who enjoy balanced coffees with natural sweetness, gentle fruit notes and a smooth, creamy body. Its clean, refined profile makes it particularly well suited to filter coffee enthusiasts, while its chocolate sweetness also produces an excellent espresso.
