Frequently asked questions regarding our wholesale coffee and equipment

Coffees & Roasting

When do you roast?
We ensure all of our customers are receiving the freshest coffee possible and we do this by roasting 6 days a week. We do not hold stock of roasted coffee and roast your order once it is placed.

How many coffees do you stock?
We currently source over 30 different single origin coffees and many blends. This is to fit in with our sweet shop style beliefs in which everyone’s taste palate should be catered for. We do however, have recommended Wholesale Coffees which are our coffees that appeal to the broader public. We call these our ‘people pleasers’.

What roasting equipment do you use?
So that we can roast all of our coffees fresh to order, we operate with 4 different sizes of roaster. We have two 2kg Coffee-tech roaster, one 15kg Coffee-tech roaster our latest addition to the roasting family, a 30Kg Has Garanti.

How do you choose your grind for pre ground coffees?

All of our grind options are set and calibrated to the most universal grind size we can achieve for each brew type. We test our grind sizes on several different machines for each brew type to find the most common grind that works across the board. For perfect extractions we recommend purchasing a grinder so that you can choose a grind best suited to your needs. We supply a range of grinders that you can shop here.

 How often do you run out of stock of a particular coffee?
Being a seasonal product, our coffees can run out of stock from time to time depending on time of year and demand. We do however buy all of our Wholesale coffees in bulk to ensure that we can keep a consistent supply of the coffee used for your business. 


How do you ensure you are sourcing responsibly?
We only work with respected and trusted importers of coffee. These importers have the highest standards when it comes to sourcing and only purchase coffees though farms and cooperatives that have strong ethical practices and either have sustainable cultivations practices or are working towards this.

What is direct trade?
Direct trade is when coffee roasters engage directly in trade with the farmers for their coffee beans, rather than through a third party association. It means we know exactly where the coffee is coming from, the price in which the farmer and employees are paid and the process through which it is farmed. Can I get next day delivery?
All next day delivery orders placed on normal working days before 1pm will be delivered the following day.

How often do you ship your products?
We ship orders Mon-Fri. We usually recommend not placing high value orders on Fridays since these can end up sitting in Couriers warehouses over the weekend.

Why do I not get free shipping on larger orders?
We pride ourselves on being one of the most competitively priced UK Coffee Roasters for fresh roast, speciality coffee. We keep our margins lower so you can enjoy the highest quality coffee at a decent price. Because of this however, we cannot offer free shipping.  


Damaged or faulty goods
If your order is incorrect or damaged Redber Coffee will offer a replacement or a refund. If this happens please contact us so we can resolve the issue as soon as we can. Please ensure you inspect any goods prior to signing for delivery. Any visible damage whatsoever should be noted and the delivery signed for as damaged. If inspection is not possible please ensure you sign for goods ‘unexamined’ allowing us to lodge claims with our delivery partners. We advise sending a photo of damaged goods. This will enable us to deal with your issue quickly. Damaged or defective goods should be reported to us within 24 hours of receiving the delivery.

Coffee returns
Since we roast all of our coffee to order we cannot accept returns unless the packaging is damaged upon receipt or there is an obvious roasting issue
