Brewing Methods and Serving Suggestions

The balanced and smooth profile of Brazil Santos Medium Roast is perfectly suited for a cafetière (French press) and filter coffee methods. Using a cafetière allows the coffee’s sweet, nutty, and chocolatey notes to fully develop, resulting in a rich and aromatic cup with a smooth texture. Filter brewing methods, such as drip coffee makers, enhance the bright acidity and clean finish, delivering a light yet satisfying brew that can be enjoyed black or with a touch of milk.

Brazil Santos Coffee Origin and Details

Brazil Santos coffee is cultivated in the fertile regions of São Paulo and surrounding areas and is named after the port of Santos, a major coffee export hub in Brazil. Known for its consistently high quality, Santos beans are celebrated worldwide for their smooth, sweet, and nutty profile. As the largest coffee producer globally, Brazil showcases its expertise through coffees like Santos, which are beloved for their versatility and classic flavour.

The beans are hand-picked and dry-processed, a method where the whole cherries are dried before removing the beans. This traditional processing technique preserves the fruit's natural sweetness, resulting in the characteristic flavour profile of Brazil Santos coffee. Widely used in espresso blends and enjoyed as a single-origin coffee, it’s a versatile choice for various brewing methods.

  • Country: Brazil
  • Region: São Paulo and surrounding areas
  • Altitude: 800 - 1,200 m above sea level
  • Variety: Bourbon, Typica, Mundo Novo
  • Processing Method: Dry-processed

Brazil Santos Medium Roast is ideal for those who appreciate a classic, balanced cup that showcases the natural flavours of the beans, perfect for a daily brew.

Best coffee

I'm a barista/coffee master and Brazilian so I suppose I'm used to try different coffees origins and roast profile. I came across this Santos medium roast and it's perfect. Balanced, smooth and I can have as a espresso at home or as a flat white. No need any extra flavour. It's so balanced. And the best thing was that I got a very good discount. This is my 2nd order and I am very satisfied.

Medium dark is better

Got both the medium and medium dark to compare, and no doubt, the medium dark is far better for my taste - More chocolatey notes, and less acidity. It’s not a bad option, but I’m not too keen on fruity notes, which I found this one had a little.

Love this

Thought I’d give this a try alongside my usual purchase of Brazil Ipanema Yellow Catuai. Wow I’m now in a quandary which one I prefer. Will just have to buy both! This is sooo nice. I make in my Aeropress and add hot milk. I think I may order this on subscription .

Usual good price and quick delivery

My favourite

I've tried several different combinations of beans, levels of roasts and regions over past the few years and I found my favourite. I even set up a repeated order to make sure I am never run out of it😀

Have fun blending

Using Santos Medium Roast to mix with other coffee from Redber. Basically fine tuning my blend. (I use an Oracle Touch bean to cup)
This present mix is Santos Medium Roast mixed with Brazil Finca Cachoeira Medium Dark and for the first time mixed with Mexico SHG Finca Teresa Medium Dark. Has made one of the most successful blends I’ve made. Beautifully smooth with caramel, chocolate and nut flavours. The Mexican bean adding a soft rounded fruit note. Perfect coffee all day long!
