De’Longhi makes several very different types of coffee machine, so the best one for you depends less on the name on the front and more on how you want to make your coffee. Some models give you the hands-on experience of grinding, dosing and frothing milk yourself. Others take care of almost everything at the touch of a button. There is also a simple filter machine for anyone who prefers a generous pot of black coffee.
In this guide, we compare every De’Longhi coffee machine currently available from Redber, grouping colour options together so you can see the real differences between each range.

First, choose how hands-on you want to be
This is the most important decision. The Stilosa and Dedica Duo use ground coffee and ask you to dose the portafilter and froth milk yourself. The La Specialista machines add a built-in grinder, but still leave the espresso preparation and milk texturing in your hands. The Magnifica range grinds, doses and brews automatically, with automatic milk preparation on the models in this guide.
If you enjoy learning and changing your technique, choose a manual or La Specialista machine. If you mainly want a reliable cappuccino before work with very little preparation, start with the Magnifica range.
De’Longhi 1.25L Series Filter Coffee Machine

The De’Longhi 1.25L Series Filter Coffee Machine is the straightforward choice for anyone who wants a pot of traditional filter coffee rather than espresso. It brews up to 10 cups, has a keep-warm plate and switches itself off after 40 minutes.
It suits family breakfasts, home offices and anyone who likes to return for a second cup. The carafe and removable filter holder are dishwasher safe, so there is very little fuss after brewing. You will need coffee ground for filter rather than espresso.
Choose it if: you drink longer black coffee, regularly make several cups at once and do not need an espresso or milk system.
De’Longhi Stilosa: the best starting point for manual espresso

The De’Longhi Stilosa is a compact, uncomplicated introduction to home espresso. It uses ground coffee or compatible ESE pods, has simple dial controls and includes a stainless steel Cappuccino System for manually steaming milk.
It is a good fit if you want to learn the basics without spending heavily on your first set-up. The removable drip tray gives you space for cups and glasses up to 110mm tall, while the 205mm-wide body is manageable on a smaller worktop.
You will need correctly ground espresso coffee. For the freshest results, pair it with a suitable coffee grinder; if you would rather avoid another appliance, we can grind your chosen coffee for espresso before dispatch.
Available colours: Black, Cream and Green.
Choose it if: you want an affordable first espresso machine and are happy to dose coffee and froth milk yourself.
De’Longhi Dedica Duo: slim, versatile and made for smaller kitchens

At only around 15cm wide, the De’Longhi Dedica Duo is the easiest model here to fit into a narrow gap. It combines a Thermoblock heating system, touch controls and a manual steam wand with the ability to prepare Cold Brew in under five minutes.
Compared with the Stilosa, it feels more refined and offers more drink versatility while keeping the hands-on espresso routine. It is particularly appealing if worktop space is tight or you switch between hot espresso drinks and cold coffee.
Available colours: Green, Silver and White.
Choose it if: you want a slim manual espresso machine with a modern interface and a quick Cold Brew option.
De’Longhi La Specialista Arte: barista control with a built-in grinder

The La Specialista Arte sits between a traditional espresso machine and a fully automatic bean-to-cup machine. It grinds beans for you, but you still prepare the portafilter, start the extraction and texture the milk yourself. That makes it a good option if you enjoy the process but want a neater all-in-one set-up.
There are eight grind settings, three infusion temperatures and a MyLatte Art steam wand designed to create smooth microfoam. The supplied barista tools help with dosing and tamping, which removes some of the mess and guesswork when you are getting started.
Available colours: Green, Silver and White.
Choose it if: you want freshly ground coffee and manual milk texturing in one machine, with enough adjustment to develop your skills.
De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo: more grind settings and fast Cold Brew

The La Specialista Arte Evo follows the same hands-on idea but expands the adjustment to 15 grind settings. It also adds De’Longhi Cold Extraction Technology, making Cold Brew in under five minutes rather than requiring a long overnight steep.
Three infusion temperature profiles and Active Temperature Control help you adapt the machine to different beans and roast levels. Like the standard Arte, it has a manual steam wand and a full set of preparation accessories.
Choose it if: you like the La Specialista approach but want finer grind control and regularly drink cold coffee.
De’Longhi Magnifica Start Milk: the simplest automatic option

The Magnifica Start Milk is the most straightforward route into De’Longhi’s fully automatic machines. Add beans and milk, choose a drink, and the machine handles the grinding, brewing and milk frothing.
Its four direct recipes are Espresso, Coffee, Cappuccino and Hot Water. You can adjust the coffee aroma, use pre-ground coffee when needed and run the automatic milk-cleaning function after a milk drink. It offers fewer recipes and saved settings than the more advanced Magnifica models, but that simplicity is part of its appeal.
Choose it if: you mainly want espresso, coffee and cappuccino at the touch of a button and do not need a long menu of recipes.
De’Longhi Magnifica Evo: an easy everyday all-rounder

The Magnifica Evo adds a broader seven-drink menu and De’Longhi’s LatteCrema automatic milk system. Its colour icons keep drink selection simple, while the removable milk carafe and automatic cleaning programme make it practical for daily use.
Redber currently carries two Magnifica Evo milk versions. The Magnifica Evo with AutoMilk is the established titanium-and-black model with seven one-touch recipes. The Magnifica Evo Milk ECAM290.83.TB also offers seven drinks and includes the MyLatte function, which uses the amount of milk you add to help reduce milk left in the carafe. It also lets you adjust drink length and aroma and includes a twin-shot function.
Choose it if: you want more choice than the Magnifica Start while keeping the controls quick and familiar.
De’Longhi Magnifica Evo Next: best for personalised drinks

The Magnifica Evo Next is aimed at households where people want different drinks and settings. It offers 13 hot recipes, a 2.4-inch colour TFT display and three user profiles.
You can choose between five drink sizes, four aroma levels and three temperature settings, then save your preferred combination. The LatteCrema Hot system textures milk automatically and includes its own cleaning function.
Choose it if: several people will use the machine and you want saved profiles with detailed control over size, strength and temperature.
De’Longhi Magnifica Plus: the widest menu and largest screen
The Magnifica Plus has the broadest choice in the current Redber range: 18 one-touch hot and cold drinks presented on a 3.5-inch full-touch colour display. Its recipes include Espresso, Cappuccino, Flat White, Cortado, Iced Coffee and Iced Americano.
Four user profiles allow a larger household to save favourite settings, while the LatteCrema system offers dense, creamy or light milk foam. It is the strongest choice for anyone who wants lots of drink options without learning manual espresso preparation.
Choose it if: you want the biggest recipe menu, a large touchscreen and saved drinks for up to four people.

Frequently asked questions
Which De’Longhi machine is best for beginners?
For manual espresso, the Stilosa is the simplest and most affordable starting point. If you want the machine to grind the beans and froth the milk for you, the Magnifica Start Milk is easier day to day.
Which De’Longhi machine is best for a small kitchen?
The Dedica Duo is the slimmest choice in this range at approximately 15cm wide. The Stilosa is also compact, but the Dedica takes up less width on the worktop.
Which De’Longhi machines make cold coffee?
The Dedica Duo and La Specialista Arte Evo use Cold Extraction Technology to make Cold Brew in under five minutes. The Magnifica Plus includes Iced Coffee and Iced Americano recipes, making it the best fully automatic option for a mixture of hot and cold drinks.
Do De’Longhi coffee machines have built-in grinders?
The La Specialista and Magnifica models in this guide have integrated grinders. The Stilosa and Dedica Duo use ground coffee, so you will need a separate grinder or coffee that has already been ground for espresso. The filter machine also uses pre-ground coffee, but it needs a coarser filter grind.
Which De’Longhi machines froth milk automatically?
The Magnifica Start Milk, Magnifica Evo milk models, Magnifica Evo Next and Magnifica Plus use automatic LatteCrema milk systems. The Stilosa, Dedica Duo and La Specialista machines have manual steam wands, giving you more control but requiring more practice.
How should I look after a De’Longhi coffee machine?
Empty and rinse removable parts regularly, clean the milk system after each use and descale the machine when prompted. Water hardness affects how often descaling is needed. Our De’Longhi care and cleaning range includes compatible descalers and cleaning products.
Need help choosing?
Coffee does not need to be complicated. Think about the drinks you make most often, how much control you want and whether you are happy to froth milk yourself. If you are still unsure, contact the Redber team and we will help you narrow the choice down.
