Winter Blend

One of our standard morning blends. Perfect in our Moccamaster. We also like to blend in a medium roast to give us a bit of variety.

Good flavour and a strong coffee for any time of the day

Tasty smooth coffee. Dark and rich.

First time I’d had this one but very impressed. Lovely soft notes, not harsh at all and makes a great cappuccino. Would def buy again

Overall not a bad cup but didn't blow me a way. Tasted decent and better than the Christmas blend.

I love the coffee. Get the ‘ chocolatey’ notes but not the fruit! Need to become more pretentious at this ... must come on a coffee tasting workshop. Will order more coffee in due course.

My favourite redber blend is the rich merchant blend. Took a bit of a gamble ordering a 1kg bag of this winter blend based on some reviews saying it was nicer than rich merchant blend. And the gamble payed off because it's pretty much perfect and will definitely be ordering again when getting low

After sampling the blend around the Christmas break 2016 and enjoyed it thoroughly, I was left disappointed by the winter blend this time around. I have used the winter blend beans as espresso, Americanos and flat whites but cannot find a decent tasting drink. I am using the Barista Express machine from Sage. I have noticed recently that the beans from Redber are over roasted ruining the taste. Redber used to be my go to roaster however I have recently switched to a new online provider as their roasting is more consistent and produces finer results.

Glad to see the Christmas blend is still available as Winter - I had stockpiled the Christmas blend in the freezer but got through that, so have just ordered another kilo. Makes a good replacement for my previous fav Rich Merchant Blend, and a complement to the Malawi Pamwamba decaf, often cannot tell them apart.

The Winter (=Christmas) Blend is cleverly compounded. It has an acidic, chocolatey flavour, easy to get accustomed to. I personally like to finalize the full-bodiedness with some Ethiopian Yirgachiffe.

This blend is simply delicious and I hope it it will be available all year round.

We are reasonably new to the bean-to-cup world but have been enjoying the Christmas blend enormously since noticing it on the Redber site. In fact we are just debating whether we have enough time to order another bag before XMAS having just finished the last one this weekend.
