Delivery and Returns

Delivery Update 06/08/25 – Royal Mail 48
Many Royal Mail 48 deliveries are delayed in certain areas due Royal Mail scanning issues and staff shortages. The Royal Mail tracking simply says 'We are expecting it'. This is not correct. Royal Mail collects from Redber daily at 16h00.  All our orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours.  Please allow a little extra time for your order to arrive. If your parcel is urgent we suggest you use the 24 hour service.

Due to the poor services our customers are receiving from Royal Mail we will be reviewing the companies we use for delivery in the coming months.

You can find the latest updates from Royal Mail here.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Brazil Ipanema Yellow Catuai Coffee Origin and Details

Brazil Ipanema Yellow Catuai coffee is sourced from the historic Fazenda Rio Verde, one of Ipanema's five farms located in the Serra da Mantiqueira Mountains in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This over 100-year-old farm, acquired by Ipanema in 2002, is known for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The farm is a nature sanctuary, with coffee fields covering only 40% of the land, while the rest is dedicated to native forests, waterfalls, and trails. The altitude ranges from 800 to 1,350 meters above sea level, providing ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality Yellow Catuai coffee.

The Yellow Catuai varietal is a dwarf hybrid of Mundo Novo and Caturra, developed in Brazil in 1949. It is known for its refined and clean acidity, making it perfect for growing in high altitudes and windy areas. The coffee is handpicked selectively and processed using the pulped natural method, where the beans are dried with some of the fruit’s mucilage still attached. This method enhances the sweetness and body of the coffee, resulting in a flavourful and aromatic cup.

  • Country: Brazil

Would recommend

I wasn't sure at first, it's markedly more acidic than what I'm used to and you need to be careful not to overwhelm it with too much milk (we mostly drink cap/latte). It's also less dark than I was expecting, but that could just be because I'm used to supermarket stuff

It smells great and after playing with the shot a bit and using less milk, I've found it makes a really tasty, smooth cup with a decent but not uncomfortable caffeine kick. Without trying to come across as too much of a ponce, there is subtlety to it which is growing me. Its just not as immediately and obviously punchy as some of the supermarket stuff and nothing at all like the charcoal infused boiling milk they gave me in Starbucks the other day. The contrast was jarring.

Smooth

I always add a different coffee to my usual choice. Although I’d tried Brazilian coffee from other roasters and was disappointed, this has now become my preferred coffee. It’s so lovely and smooth. Nice thing with buying from Redber is you get a choice of roast strengths.
Prices are good too.
