Best suited to filter coffee machines, drip brewers, and cafetières, where its chocolate and caramel sweetness with gentle fruit notes are clearly expressed, producing a balanced and satisfying cup.

Grown at elevations above 1,000 metres, Colombia Excelso decaf beans come from several coffee-growing regions across Colombia, where high altitudes and favourable climates help produce dense beans with balanced sweetness and bright flavour. The coffee is made up of a blend of Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, and Typica varieties, which together contribute to a well-rounded cup with natural chocolate and caramel notes.

The beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water® process, a chemical-free method that uses pure water and carbon filters to gently remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s natural flavour characteristics. This careful process ensures the coffee retains its depth and balance, delivering a satisfying cup without the caffeine.

After letting it rest a few more days coffee

After letting it rest a few more days coffee seems better, I didn't see another option to remove my previous review so I am making a new one.

Definitely on the sweater end of coffees which is pleasant.

I still give 4 stars as found some burnt charcoal beans.

Got this coffee with the regular decaf

Got this coffee with the regular decaf subscription.

I was intrigued reading the notes, but not sure if I got a bad batch (found some burnt beans) or what, but I don't enjoy the taste too much yet, maybe needs to rest for longer?

Both espresso and Clever gave me an unremarkable experience, I'll try again with longer brew and after it has rested longer but so far not impressed at all, much preferred other decafs like Mexican, Colombian, Cha Chi etc.

Excellent service as always

Excellent service as always.
I tried this coffee as you no longer stock my preferred Mexico Mountain Water decaffeinated Med/dark roast.
Sadly it doesn't compare

Excellent

I had to up the strength on my machine to get a tasty cup of black coffee. Once I had done that I thoroughly enjoyed the flavour.

My favourite decaf coffee

So pleased to see it was available again, although the Decaf Central American Blend was a good substitute in the meantime.

Good Coffee

I was a fan of Redber’s earlier Colombian Medallin medium dark decaf but it has been out of stock over winter. At first taste I think this new one is a pretty good equivalent with good lasting flavour and a strength that suits our tastes. However, the price is a bit high for a regular supply - I paid £15/kg last November!
