Great coffee, great quality

The Colombia Excelso is my second favorite, right after the Colombia Finca Sofia. It has more of a juicy aftertaste compared to Finca Sofia. The coffee quality is wonderful, each bean is perfect! It's worth every penny and still cheaper than other roasters on the market. I've been with Redber Coffee for many years and am happy to remain a loyal customer.

I bought this coffee many times before to mix it

I bought this coffee many times before to mix it with Brazilian beans, unfortunately it wasn’t fresh enough, no aroma when grinding and poor extraction

Excellent service

My first purchase was for green coffee but i am using a Rotisserie style device and could not get the roast accuracy i was looking for so i purchased a medium roast and i was shocked at just how fantastic the results were i will never look back at any other method, I use a Rok grinder and a Hario syphon.

Ok with filter, problem with espresso

These beans are jamming my grinder (Sage Smart Grinder Pro) when grinding for espresso. No problem using for filter coffee and grinding at 45 (lower is finer.) But for espresso (18g coffee in for 36g out) a very fine grind is required to avoid a sour under extraction, namely setting 4 on the grinder, -nearly at it's limit. I grind my normal beans at about 17 for espresso. These beans caused the grinder to jam, with the clutch clicking and no grinding. I had to coursen the grind to release. There seems to be what looks like husk in the cracks of the beans, which is visible in the courser filter grind as a distinctly lighter shade of particles. This does not seem right. The taste of both the filter and espresso coffee is ok, but I clearly can't use this for espresso. I would be very interested in hearing Redber's view on this.

Freshest coffee!

Used the beans in aeropress and clever dripper. Delicious with splash of milk in the morning and black in the arvo.
Not to mention the aroma.
Will be buying again.

Superb Coffee, great service

The Colombian was a great place to start, and we have immediately found our absolute favourite coffee place. Such great coffee, and as we all have to drink it at home right now, frankly Redber you are a life line!
We’ve just collected and enjoyed our first cup of the Antiguan from Guatemala and it’s even more delicious!

little smoothie

I ordered 4 S.American coffees to try so that no-one could say I am an old stick-in-the-mud.
This one was the cheapest and for my money the least interesting. The best thing l could say about it is that it is smooth and unchallenging. I'm sure that is just what many people want from their coffee.

Columbian Huila Medium Roast

Lovely smooth-tasting coffee. Initially bought a small amount to try instead of our usual Los Olivos, but liked it so much that we've ordered 6kg to keep us going for the next 6 months or so!
