Our Central American Coffee Decaf Blend uses 100% Arabica beans sourced from several coffee-growing regions across Central America, an area known for producing coffees with balanced sweetness, smooth body, and clean flavour profiles. By selecting beans from multiple origins within the region, the blend maintains consistency while highlighting the natural character that Central American coffees are valued for.

The coffee is decaffeinated using the CO₂ (carbon dioxide) process, a method designed to remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s original flavour compounds. In this process, green coffee beans are placed in a pressurised stainless-steel chamber where liquid carbon dioxide circulates through the beans and selectively binds to the caffeine molecules. The caffeine is then separated from the CO₂, allowing the carbon dioxide to be reused while leaving the flavour compounds largely intact.

Great decaf coffee

I recently discovered I love central American and coffee from some parts of Africa and Asia. So I'm very happy to have a decaf blend from the continent of Central America. I'd love Redber to perhaps look into more decaf coffee from other countries! Tanzania especially!

But this is a great decaf blend!

Lovely coffee but not ground

Lovely flavoured coffee which I bought to go with a gift of coffee stove top percolator. Unfortunately arrived unground so I had to take it back from recipient and grind it for her

Mellow with strong flavour

We use the beans in a simple Russell Hobbs bean to cup machine. Using these beans the machine makes coffee as well as our former (very expensive) Miele built-in unit.

I really liked this blend. Very nice taste. It Didn’t even felt like I am drinking decaf coffee. I am giving it 4 stars only because it’s my second most favourite blend, but really it’s more like 4.5 for me. (Matter of personal taste).

Better tasting coffee than Starbucks decaf

I have not been particularly enjoying Starbucks decaf beans, they are dark roasted and taste a bit bitter and burnt. So now I am forced to find something else, I found these and thought I would give it a go. Only had 1 coffee so far and my initial reaction was interesting flavour and not bitter.

This is the best decaf coffee that I have discovered to date. Great as an expresso, americano or with milk. If you like coffee but are not keen on caffeinated drinks late in the day then I highly recommend that you try this.

Superb - can we have another bag?

Very, very enjoyable. No noticeable difference between the taste of the decaf and the regular coffee.

There wasn't even a chemical taste which you do normally associate with the decaf ranges.

Nice flavour, very happy to recommend.
