Delivery and Returns

Delivery Update 06/08/25 – Royal Mail 48
Many Royal Mail 48 deliveries are delayed in certain areas due Royal Mail scanning issues and staff shortages. The Royal Mail tracking simply says 'We are expecting it'. This is not correct. Royal Mail collects from Redber daily at 16h00.  All our orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours.  Please allow a little extra time for your order to arrive. If your parcel is urgent we suggest you use the 24 hour service.

Due to the poor services our customers are receiving from Royal Mail we will be reviewing the companies we use for delivery in the coming months.

You can find the latest updates from Royal Mail here.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

At Redber, we roast all our coffee to order to ensure maximum freshness. We aim to roast and dispatch your coffee on the same day your order is placed. Roasting takes place six days a week, Monday to Saturday, with dispatches occurring Monday to Friday.

Description

El Salvador Diamante Medium Roast offers a bright and vibrant coffee experience with a lively flavour profile that captures the essence of its high-altitude origins. This roast brings out sweet notes of orange and creamy milk chocolate, creating a balanced and smooth cup. The medium roast level preserves the delicate nuances of the beans, resulting in a light and crisp body with a refreshing finish. The bright acidity adds a touch of liveliness to each sip.

Flavour Profile and Aroma

  • Flavours: Orange, milk chocolate, sweet toffee
  • Aroma: Sweet with hints of citrus and chocolate
  • Body: Light, crisp
  • Acidity: Bright

Brewing Methods and Serving Suggestions

The vibrant flavours of El Salvador Diamante Medium Roast shine best with pour-over methods like V60 or Chemex, where its bright and lively characteristics can be fully appreciated. It also works well in an Aeropress or a drip coffee maker, providing a balanced and smooth cup with a clean, refreshing finish.

El Salvador Coffee Origin and Details

Grown in the highlands of Sierra Apaneca Ilamatepec in El Salvador, the Diamante beans come from regions near the Santa Ana, Izalco, Las Ninfas, and Laguna Verde volcanoes, as well as the mountains of El Aguila, Los Naranjos, and Malacara. The coffee farms in this region are located at altitudes between 800 and 1,500 metres above sea level, creating ideal growing conditions for high-quality beans.

  • Country: El Salvador
  • Region: Sierra Apaneca, Ilamatepec, Santa Ana, Izalco Volcanoes, Los Naranjos
  • Altitude: 1,350 m above sea level
  • Varietal: Bourbon, Pacas, Catimor
  • Harvesting Period: January - March
  • Processing: Washed, sun and mechanically dried

El Salvador is known for its Strictly High Grown (SHG) coffee, specifying that it was grown at altitudes around 1,350 m. Coffee grown at higher altitudes and lower temperatures produces a denser bean with a slower maturation, resulting in a more desirable speciality cup with complex flavours and a rich body.

Great Beans

Great taste. Not too strong

Grinder!

On trying to grind these beans I needed to double the grinding time and was still left with unground coffee, lots of light weight and light in colour flakes flying around. my grinder was 9 years old so (mostly grinding 1 cups worth a day) I purchase another with better results although the flying around and length of grinding time weren't much better. Going back to something I've had before, from Redber :)
