Coffee of The Month September 2023 - Ethiopia Djimmah

September brings the taste of Ethiopia with our Coffee of the Month– Natural Djimmah!

This coffee comes from the famous Djimmah area in Ethiopia, which is renowned for its beautiful and flavourful Arabica varieties.

Natural Djimmah coffee has a smooth and creamy in body with pleasant hints of berry fruit, lemon, and cinnamon. The coffee offers a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, making it perfect for drinking throughout the day.

We suggest you try the Natural Djimmah with a cafetiere, drips or filter coffees.

Brewing Ethiopia Djimmah in a Cafetiere:

  1. Begin by grinding your coffee beans to a coarse grind.
  2. Use 6 tablespoons Freshly Ground Natural Djimmah 
  3. Add your freshly ground coffee to the cafetiere and fill with  500ml hot water  just off the boil 92-96C.
  4. Give it a stir, put the lid on and steep the coffee for 4 minutes.
  5. Press the plunger down slowly so you don't disturb the grounds.

If the coffee is too acidic, try increasing the grind size and/or brewing time; if it is too weak, decrease grind size and/or brewing time.
