Delivery and Returns

Delivery Update 06/08/25 – Royal Mail 48
Many Royal Mail 48 deliveries are delayed in certain areas due Royal Mail scanning issues and staff shortages. The Royal Mail tracking simply says 'We are expecting it'. This is not correct. Royal Mail collects from Redber daily at 16h00.  All our orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours.  Please allow a little extra time for your order to arrive. If your parcel is urgent we suggest you use the 24 hour service.

Due to the poor services our customers are receiving from Royal Mail we will be reviewing the companies we use for delivery in the coming months.

You can find the latest updates from Royal Mail here.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

At Redber, we roast all our coffee to order to ensure maximum freshness. We aim to roast and dispatch your coffee on the same day your order is placed. Roasting takes place six days a week, Monday to Saturday, with dispatches occurring Monday to Friday.

We do our best to process and dispatch all orders by 4:00pm daily. However, during busy periods, please allow an additional working day as a contingency in case of a roasting backlog.

Description

Peru Chanchamayo Dark Roast delivers a rich and full-bodied coffee experience with deep, robust flavours. The dark roast level brings out the natural sweetness of the beans, resulting in pronounced notes of caramel, cedar, and a hint of warm cinnamon.

Flavour Profile and Aroma

  • Flavours: Caramel, cedar, cinnamon
  • Aroma: Rich and woody with a touch of spice
  • Body: Full-bodied, smooth
  • Acidity: Low

Brewing Methods and Serving Suggestions

The intense flavours of this dark roast are best enjoyed using an Aeropress, where the coffee’s full body and depth can fully develop in a concentrated cup. It also works beautifully in a drip coffee maker or filter machine, providing a strong and satisfying brew that showcases its caramel sweetness and cedar undertones. For a richer and bolder experience, try it in a moka pot, which brings out the coffee's robust and spicy profile.

Peruvian Coffee Origin and Details

Grown in the Chanchamayo region of Peru, this coffee comes from small farms at high altitudes between 1,200 and 1,350 metres above sea level. The farms belong to small producers with less than two hectares of land, generating around 3,000 lbs. of coffee per harvest. The beans are shade-grown at high altitudes, leading to a denser bean and a more complex cup profile due to its slow maturation. The producers use sustainable farming practices, and the beans are washed and sun-dried, which helps develop a rich, vibrant flavour profile with a cupping score of 80+.

  • Country: Peru
  • Altitude: 1,200 - 1,350 m above sea level
  • Varietal: Caturra, Typica, Pache, Bourbon
  • Processing Method: Washed, sun-dried
  • Harvest Period: June - August/September
  • Cupping Score: 80+

amazing, great value and fresh - best you’ll find online

i order every few weeks from redber and find everything 5* - from the choice to the price to the delivery and the quality of the coffee. i tend to get a different one each time but they always produce a nice thick creme. i also pay for the next day delivery as i like ordering just when the old one runs out so it’s all nice n fresh! would never go anywhere else!

Delicious

My new favourite, I’ll be ordering this one again for definite. I drink my Redber coffees with coconut milk so whilst the husband loves the Dark Italian, I often like something a little different with my lighter coconut-flavoured milk. Thanks Redber, top class as usual 🙂

Love this new coffee!

Lovely, complex and sophisticated coffee. Cedar, cinnamon, caramel, orange notes, nuts, floral aromas. Great balance of spice, orange, acidity, sweetness, bitterness. Very impressed. Will be back for more. Redber always deliver great coffee and have competitive prices and reliable service.
