I tried these beans when Redber stoped offering the medium version they are very difficult to dial for espresso, I tried all I could to stop a very sour taste with grind settings, temperatures and pre infusion and only managed to go from sour to bitter or both! I gave them 2 stars because at least it produced a nice crema…

This is my third separate monthly subscription choice and may be the best yet. Previously I enjoyed several months each of Brazilian Santos and Colombia Pachamama - both great - but this has an extra richness that is probably edging it at the moment. Depends on what style of coffee you are making

I am always surprised by the rave reviews for this coffee but the reviews don't usually say what style of coffee is being made. I make espresso (on a commercial style machine) but also make stove-top and Aeropress. I have always found the espresso I get from this coffee to be overly sour. I have tried every variation I can with water temperature, grind size, pre-infusion - you name it. Always overly sour taste. However, as a flat white (so with a double espresso and a roughly equal quantity of stretched milk) the coffee is transformed into a very acceptable drink. I also enjoy this coffee as a stove-top and Aeropress provided milk is added. Might just be my taste - maybe I am just better suited to darker roasts for espresso. Personally I would go for the Ethiopia natural Djimmah medium roast for great espresso from a medium roast bean

I love this coffee, it has a really smooth, warming taste that’s not bitter (as some coffees can be, and hit you in the back of the throat).
This is a very creamy tasting coffee that gently wakes you up in the morning. Love it!

Fixed by having to run 2 lots of coffee through to get the volume I need, taste is amazing but now I will be using it twice as fast!

Just great coffee!

We’ve been using Redber Coffee for a couple of years now. We’ve tried a few different beans but this is our favourite. Strong with no bitterness. Makes a lovely Cappuccino or flat white. The people are lovely too.
