Rwanda has managed to overcome huge obstacles over the past decade - diseases, defects, instability threatening the future of coffee growing- and this coffee is a fantastic example of how much has been achieved. Not only is the production being restored, but they are back to growing some of the most delicious coffees in the world.

These coffee beans come from a Rwandan exporter who recently participated in the Cup of Excellence, taking 4 of the top 10 positions including numbers 1 and 2! This coffee was picked from those same very estates. They are farmed on a co-operate of around 30 members, who chose the name  'Urengerekawa'. This means "Let us protect coffee", a great nod to the challenges Rwandan coffee farmers have bested restoring quality.

Excellent beans

Bought a kilo of the RWANDA INZOVU - Green Coffee Beans. Roasted medium dark and brewed with both flair for espresso and aeropress. Delightful flavour in both cases. One of the best green bean experience I've had. Still getting used to roasting so maybe getting better results as I do more but the coffee I'm making now with these beans from Rwanda about as good as any coffee I've bought from high street baristas.

Rwandan Inzovou

Delicious coffee, distinctive red fruit flavour. Works best pre-warming the roaster well

Prompt despatch and deliver

Excellent website. Easy to order and quick delivery. I have not yet roasted this Rwandan coffe but the Indian Malabar Coffee is excellent when used as adark roast. I grew up drinking this coffee in India and the aroma brought back memories of my childhood where every locality had a small artisan roastery in Bangalore.
