This coffee comes from Fazenda Rio Verde, one of the farms belonging to Ipanema Coffees in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountains of Minas Gerais. The estate has more than a century of coffee-growing history and is recognised for its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Only around 40% of the land is planted with coffee, while the rest remains protected native forest and natural habitat. The Yellow Catuai variety, a hybrid of Mundo Novo and Caturra, is known for its sweetness, balanced acidity, and reliable cup quality.

The coffee is processed using the pulped natural method, where the beans are dried with some fruit mucilage remaining. This process enhances sweetness and body, giving the coffee its smooth caramel and nutty character.
