Speciality Coffee for Business — FAQs

At Redber, speciality isn’t a buzzword — it’s a promise. Every bean we roast is graded 80+ by the Speciality Coffee Association, placing it among the world’s top coffees. We work directly with growers and co-operatives to deliver coffee with genuine provenance — traceable, responsibly sourced, and roasted to order in our UK roastery. Whether you run an artisan café, a boutique hotel, or a modern office, our speciality coffee helps you serve a cup with clarity, character, and consistency.

What makes coffee “speciality”?

Speciality coffee is the top tier of coffee, officially scored 80 points or higher by certified Q-graders. These lots stand out for clarity of flavour, clean processing, and an absence of defects. In practice, it means your business serves coffee with genuine character — from fruity Ethiopian naturals to chocolate-forward Colombians and nutty Brazilians — not the flat, bitter taste of commodity beans.

How fresh will my coffee be?

We don’t keep coffee sitting in a warehouse. Every bag is roasted to order in our Guildford roastery, packed immediately, and dispatched fresh. For best results, rest beans for 5–10 days after roast, then enjoy them within 6–8 weeks.

Which roast profile is right for my business?
  • Medium Roast — Bright, balanced, and versatile. Ideal for showcasing origin character.
  • Medium-Dark Roast — Fuller body with chocolate and caramel notes. Popular all-rounder, excellent in milk drinks.
  • Dark Roast — Bold, intense, and rich. Suits traditional palates and punchy espresso.

Still unsure? We’ll recommend a profile based on your menu, equipment, and customer preferences.

Can I order wholesale quantities online?

Absolutely. Our speciality coffees are available in a range of bulk pack sizes you can add straight to basket and check out online. No waiting on quotes — just freshly roasted coffee delivered quickly to your business.

Do you offer ground coffee as well as whole bean?

We recommend whole bean for maximum freshness and control, but we can grind to suit filter, cafetière, or espresso setups — ideal for offices or venues without a grinder on-site.

What support do you offer for cafés, offices, or hotels?

Supplying great coffee is only part of what we do. We advise on equipment, help you dial-in recipes, and provide staff training to ensure consistency. From boutique cafés to corporate offices, we act as a long-term partner focused on flavour, reliability, and value.
