A newly designed brew scale from Rhino is a leap in improvement from the previous model.

Ever been brewing and can't read the display? We fixed that problem with this brew scale. The display is extended out so whether your brewing a Chemex or Hario V60 you can read the weight and time on the scale.

With its increased 3kg capacity and 0.1g accuracy, the Rhino Brew Scale will ensure delicious coffee every time. 

The scale features Auto-Off to save battery power. It also has Overload protection in case of accidents. You can Tare and Calibrate the scale as well. The Timer display allows you to time your brews according to your recipe. Can display weight in grams or ounces.

Nice big brewing platform of 126mm x 126mm. Bigger than the previous model.

Has silicone pad to stop heat transfer to scale causing inaccurate readings and save scale from spillages.

Good budget scale with plenty of other uses in the kitchen

This scale has proved very useful for me as I get used to our new espresso machine. It's slim enough to slip under smaller cups on the machine's drip tray - and if I remove the tray, I can get taller mugs under it too. The rubber cover on the scale pan means I don't need to worry about weighing a hot portafilter and the display projects forward to make it easier to read.
Because it will weigh up to 3kg it's handy for baking and other kitchen tasks too. I gather some users prefer rechargeable scales, but the AAA batteries this uses are easy to replace (rechargeable ones are fine) - more convenient than the button batteries our other scale uses. Another bonus is the ability to adjust the automatic turn-off time to as long as 5 minutes - less chance of losing the weight when you're in the middle of a job!
