Rwanda has managed to overcome huge obstacles over the past decade - diseases, defects, instability threatening the future of coffee growing- and this coffee is a fantastic example of how much has been achieved. Not only is the production being restored, but they are back to growing some of the most delicious coffees in the world.

These coffee beans come from a Rwandan exporter who recently participated in the Cup of Excellence, taking 4 of the top 10 positions including numbers 1 and 2! This coffee was picked from those same very estates. They are farmed on a co-operate of around 30 members, who chose the name  'Urengerekawa'. This means "Let us protect coffee", a great nod to the challenges Rwandan coffee farmers have bested restoring quality.
